According to https://assets.bizjournals.com a 654-unit apartment complex in downtown Seattle, one of the first new residential construction projects to break ground here since the collapse of the housing market will be constructed by Pine Street Group LLC beginning in mid-May.

The $200 million development will take advantage of the demand for Puget Sound area apartments. The project, will allow for the future strength of the downtoiwn area and will realize the desire of owrkers to walk to work and illistrates that a growing number of people prefer renting to owning.

The units will be about 700 square feet and will cos $1,900 per month. While that seems pricey and is higher than the averge rent the units offer some great amenities. Some features are decks, stainless steel appliances, stone countertops rooftop deck with fire pit, bike shop and club where residents can store and service their bikes.

In addition there will be 18,000 square feet of retail space which will include a coffee shop, a pub style restaurant, an a small grocery with a deli.
